Officers
President: Presiding officer at Board,
membership, and annual meetings; prepare notice and agenda for meetings of the
Board of Directors; receive and review correspondence; represent MACP at special
meetings of related professional organizations; appoint chairpersons for each
committee.
President-Elect: Preside over meeting in the President’s absence; represents
MACP at special meetings of related professional organizations; assist members
of the Board as needed; maintains MACP web site and electronic communications
with MACP members.
Secretary: Record minutes of Board and membership meetings and distribute
same to other members of the Board; remind President of any tabled items needing
closure; maintain MACP Minute Book; maintain the master MACP Procedure Manual.
Treasurer: Maintain financial records; make deposits and pay expenses;
maintain bank account and accounting codes; prepare balance sheet for
presentation to members of the Board; file tax returns; prepare budget balance
sheets to track Board member budgets.
All officers report to the Board on activities; prepare newsletter articles;
prepare a budget for the succeeding year; and keep written records of office for
their successors.
Committee Chairs
Elections: Distribute and receive nomination and statement of intent forms;
distribute official ballots and report election results.
Membership: Maintain membership roster and mailing labels; review membership
applications; maintain and revise applications and renewal forms.
Placement/Job Bank: Assist members who are seeking employment opportunities
in the corporate environment; obtain listings from prospective employers;
publish listings of available employment positions.
Professional Development/Ethics/CLE: Prepare salary survey and compile
results for reporting to membership; monitor certification issues; organize
annual CLA/CLE seminar and brown bag luncheon seminars.
Programs: Plan programs and make arrangements for membership meetings and the
annual meeting.
Public Relations: Promote the Association throughout the Metroplex; network
and establish contacts; promote media announcements and publicity; organize
annual social event; maintain scrapbook.
Publications: Prepare, publish, and distribute newsletter; obtain
advertising; contact current and potential vendor sponsors.
All officers and committee chairs report to the Board on activities, prepare
newsletter articles, prepare a budget for the succeeding year, and keep written
records of office for their successors.
